‘ABVP activists falsely accused’

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: BJP leader A.N. Radhakrishnan alleged on Friday that false charges were framed against ABVP activists in the case pertaining to the killing of an ASI in Changanasserry in October last year. He also alleged that the Home Minister and DGP were keen on framing charges against the ABVP activists.

The charges were framed on the basis of a statement given by another ASI and were not properly investigated, he said. He also demanded that the case be withdrawn as the charges were foisted on the accused. The accused were beaten up in custody and were undergoing treatment, he said. He said L.K. Advani will visit Kerala on April 26 and 27. He will meet SC and ST leaders at Nedumbasserry on April 26. A discussion on his autobiography will be organised in Ernakulam on the next day. He will address a rally in Thiruvananthapuram on April 27.
