Dennis Lillee. CHENNAI: Australian pace bowling legend Dennis Lillee has joined the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League as a bowling consultant. T.A. Sekar, in charge of the team’s cricketing operations, said Lillee would add enormous value to the side. “He has great technical attributes and is such a well known face. We will use his name and stature in the best possible manner.” Lillee will also join pace ace Glenn McGrath in the same dressing room. “McGrath has enormous respect for Lillee. He considers Lillee his mentor. Even now, McGrath is bowling so beautifully. Even now, he will get five wickets in a Test.” It is learnt that Lillee will continue guiding the aspirants at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai. — Special Correspondent
