Thiruvananthapuram: Director General of Police Raman Srivastava has said team effort of the railway personnel is one of the reasons that enabled the Railways to generate profit in the last couple of years. Speaking at the 53rd Railway Week celebrations organised by the Thiruvananthapuram division here on Wednesday, Mr. Srivastava said the dedicated round-the-clock work of the employees helped the Railways to emerge as the biggest asset of the country. Divisional Railway Manager Titus P. Koshy, in his address, said the performance of the railway division improved substantially. The division registered a record earning of Rs.611 crore during the financial year 2007-2008.
