IPL: Anil Kumble may miss opener
Bangalore: Anil Kumble, nursing a groin injury, may miss the DLF-Indian Premier League’s opening round match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday.
The Royal Challengers skipper Rahul Dravid confirmed the Indian Test skipper’s absence due to injury in a press conference here on Wednesday.
“We were just with the physio at the NCA — Paul Close — who was also involved with the Indian team. Anil might miss the first game.
“He is keen to play but we will take a decision on what is best for him.
“I guess in about four to five days, he should be able to play,” Dravid said.
