KARAIKUDI: A fifth minute strike by Periasamy helped Nehru Youth Football Club (Kothari) defeat Winners Sports Club (Vairavapuram) 1-0 in the Sivagangai District Football Association ‘B’ division league here on Wednesday.
Basketball tournament
The 49th annual P.D. Chidambara Souriya Narayanan memorial Trophy all-India basketball tournament, sponsored by Jeppiar Engineering College, Chennai, will be organised by the Silver Jubilee Sports Club at Periakulam from May 15 to 21. Entries close on April 30.
