Al Wihdat beats East Bengal

KOLKATA: Jordan’s Al Wihdat defeated East Bengal 4-2 in a fourth-round group B league match of the AFC Cup at Salt Lake stadium on Wednesday.

Al Wihdat’s Rafat Jaber scored the first goal of the match in the sixth minute. East Bengal’s Syed Rahim Nabi equalised in the 11th minute. Jaber scored again in the 23rd minute for the visitor.

East Bengal’s reply came soon (27th minute) through Edmilson.

After that, Hasan Mahmood sealed the issue with goals the 31st and 34th minutes. — Principal Correspondent
