NEW DELHI: Samaresh Jung shot 560 out of 600 and missed the final by two points in the 50m freepistol event in the shooting World Cup at Beijing, China, on Tuesday. Samaresh had a series of 90, 92, 95, 96, 92 and 95 to take the 14th spot from among 58 competitors. Quite impressively, Omkar Singh — in the MQS section — shot a 561 with a series of 89, 93, 95, 96, 95 and 93. Meanwhile, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore recovered after a bad start to shoot an impressive 49 out of 50 in the third round but could manage only a 29th slot with a total of 132.
