KOCHI: Chavara Fest 2008, to mark the 38th anniversary of the Chavara Cultural Centre, will begin here from Monday. The six-day event will have music concerts, traditional and classical art performances along with a food festival and book exhibition. Addressing a press meet here on Friday, Father Roby Kannanchira, director of the centre, said that starting with an inter-faith meeting on the inaugural day, the programmes will be a mixed bag that will have folk art events to cinema. V.R. Krishna Iyer will inaugurate the event at 6 p.m. on the Vishu day. Chavara Movie Circle will be inaugurated by Film Director K.G. George on Saturday. The food festival will begin at 6 p.m.
