Confusion in IIM-A

AHMEDABAD: With no communication yet from the Union Human Resource Development Ministry, confusion prevailed at the IIM-A on Friday over the implementation of the 27 per cent OBC quota from the coming academic year.

The admission process, which was scheduled to begin on Friday, has been put on hold. An IIM-A spokesman said it was still not clear whether the reservation quota would be applicable to institutions such as the IIM-A, which conducted only post-graduate courses.

The spokesman said the admission list was ready with the IIM-A and if the quota implementation was not applicable to the institution, the same list would be released.
