Mayor on inspection drive

NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra will conduct an inspection of drains and nullahs in various parts of the Capital on Friday to review the progress of de-silting operations.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has outsourced over 1,250 drains in its area to private contractors, while 235 drains are to be maintained by its in-house staff. The local councillors have been directed to keep a tab on the works in progress.
