Former Miss India robbed of cash

NEW DELHI: Former Miss India Naina Balsawar was robbed of Rs.49,000 in cash and some jewellery in Rajouri Garden here on Wednesday.

According to the police, Ms. Balsawar, wife of political leader Akbar Ahmed alias Dumpy, was returning home when a child tapped at her car window at a traffic signal. While Ms. Balsawar and her driver were busy talking to the child, an unidentified man made off with her bag containing the money and jewellery.
