Ringing in Ugadi with a cultural treat

DHARWAD: “Ugadi Habba,” a cultural treat, marked Ugadi celebrations here on Monday.
Honorary secretary of Vishwa Bharati Foundation Vasant Horatti, who inaugurated the “habba, lauded the the initiative taken by Shri Creations in organising the event.
Mr. Horatti said that the youth had a crucial role in preserving and promoting the language and culture of the land.
Convener of Shri Creations said that the organisation was organising such festivals to promote “desi” culture and the folk arts.
Writer Mohan Nagammanavar, Who presided over the inaugural function, said that festivals were crucial for the promotion of art and culture. Programmes by the Rutika Dance School and presentations by Seema Kulkarni and troupe, stand-up comedian Narasimha Joshi and folk artistes enthralled the audience.
