Big win for Delhi Audit

NEW DELHI: Two goals each by Hitender Singh Rawat and Sameer Jung helped Delhi Audit to a 6-1 victory over Oriental Bank of Commerce in a Group ‘B’ match of the DSA senior division institutional football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Wednesday.

Naresh Mann and Rishi Kapoor were the other marksmen for Delhi Audit that completed its engagements with 12 points from four matches.

Sanjeev Sharma reduced the margin for the bank team, which along with FCI, Headquarters, followed Delhi Audit into the super-league from Group ‘B’.

In Group ‘A’, FCI, North Zone, topped the group and was joined by Reserve Bank of India and ESIC in the super-league.

In the ‘A’ division, Delhi Development Authority scored a 1-0 victory over Bank of India after the match was awarded to it following a protest walk-out by the bank team.

The super-league matches will start on April 15.
