Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A double-barrel gun looted from the security guard of a cash van that was ambushed by a gang of armed men in Greater Kailash-II here on Monday was found dumped near the Tughlaqabad Fort in South Delhi on Tuesday. The police are yet to identify the robbers.

Investigations have indicated that after committing the robbery the criminals fled towards Haryana in a Tata Sumo that bore no registration number. The Delhi police have contacted their Haryana counterparts seeking help in identifying the assailants. The daring robbery took place on Monday evening when the robbers in the Tata Sumo ambushed the CMS Securitas van parked outside a shopping complex.
