Venu FC emerges champion

Udhagamandalam: Venu Football Club topped the table to emerge the ‘A’ division champion of the Coimbatore District Football Association league on Monday.

Final standings:

1. Venu FC 28 points, 2. Blood Reds FC 23, 3. PSG SC 18, Union FC 16, Sara Elgi SC 15.

The 49th senior State football championship for the S.A. Naidu Shield, organised by the Nilgiris District Football Association, will be held at the HADP Stadium from April 11 to 18.
