Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Medical Association’s district branch will organise a year-long intensive campaign for mosquito control and chart out a plan of action to tackle vector-borne diseases It pointed out that while climate change can lead to many public health problems, mosquito-borne diseases should be the primary concern of the State in the current circumstances. IMA district president K. Ramachandran and secretary N. Sulphi were addressing a press conference here on Monday on the occasion of World Health Day. The theme of this year’s World Health Day is Climate change and Health. IMA will organise awareness classes focusing on vector-borne diseases and launch campaigns on mosquito control measures.
