Says resignations of TRS legislators and MPs is only waste of public money ‘Telangana issue needs to be settled through political dialogue’
GUNTUR: Communist Party of India welcomes Chiranjeevi to start a party and it does not want to comment on it in any way at this point of time unless the new party announces its manifesto/policy, but would welcome it into the Third Front, said CPI State Secretary K. Narayana at a press meet here on Sunday. Matching wavelengthThe CPI leader, who was here to attend the commemorative meeting to remember former Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University Raja Rammohan Roy, said that the "State was not the fiefdom of the Congress or Telugu Desam Party, any person can start a party and we might consider partnering with the new party if the policies and wavelength matched with ours." We do not have a permanent arrangement with Congress and it was too early to comment on our arrangements in the coming elections," he opined. Telanaga Rashtra Samiti MLAs and MPs resigning from their posts was only waste of public money as their stand had neither changed nor did that of people. It was upto the Central Government to decide the issue as it was part of the Common Minimum Programme of the UPA, he said. Earlier issues on Telangana or VSP were settled within a couple of months, but this time it remained unresolved for six years and needs to be settled through political dialogue," he said.
