Woman found ‘murdered’

HYDERABAD: A 25-year-old woman K. Sandhya Rani was found murdered at her house in Housing Board Colony in Medchal on Saturday night. Her house was also ransacked, but the valuables remained intact, police said.

The woman was not responding when her mother Suryakala repeatedly called her from their grocery store. Suspecting something amiss, the mother went to the house only to find Rani dead with serious head injuries in the kitchen.

The assailants attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon.

Sandhya Rani used to assist her parents in grocery business. Police said the reasons behind the murder were yet to be established.
