Two women robbed

HYDERABAD: Two women were robbed of their gold jewellery at their house at MLA Colony on Road No.10 in Banjara Hills on Saturday night.

A miscreant aged around 30, sneaked into the house of a businessman S. Shiva Prasad by breaking open the window grills and threatened his daughter Sweetha with a knife and snatched her gold chain. Next the accused threatened Prasad’s mother Shailaja and made good with her four gold bangles.

Security guard Fakeeraiah was sleeping near the gate when the accused had entered the house. The businessman was away from the house, according to police.

Burglars also struck at five houses in Gangaputra Colony in Bowenpally on Saturday.

The offenders gained entry into the houses by breaking open the main door locks and fled when they could not found valuables.
