Adequate relief sought for crop loss

HYDERABAD: The AP Ryotu Sangham has represented to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy seeking ‘just’ compensation for the crop loss suffered by farmers in the recent unseasonal rains in estimated to be over Rs.927 crore. K. Ramakrishna, president, Kolli Nageswara Rao, vice-president, demanded relaxation of norms to pave the way for the sale of damaged crops and waiver of loans. –Special Correspondent
