Three held for attacking engineer

TIRUCHI: Three persons were arrested on the charge of assaulting a Junior Engineer of Tiruchi Corporation while the latter was monitoring an encroachment drive near Melapudur in the city on Friday.

Police said Jayakumar (35) attached to Ariyamangalam zone of the Corporation was removing encroachments when K. Krishnamurthy (58), K. Manikandan and Y. Abdullah (23) pushed him down, causing injuries.
