Mohd. Sporting revives hopes

Kolhapur: Mohammedan Sporting scraped past Oil India (Duliajan) by a solitary goal in a Group ‘B’ tie to inch towards a final round berth in the second division I-League football here on Wednesday.

Subair Muritala Ali struck in the 70th minute to give his side full three points and revive its fortunes after a stunning 0-2 loss to Indian Bank in its last match.

With today’s win, the Kolkata side is second in the group with six points from three outings — two wins and a loss. — PTI
