Jakarta: Two more persons have died of bird flu in Indonesia, bringing the death toll in the country worst hit by the virus to 107, said the Health Ministry on Monday. One of the victims was a 15-year-old boy and the second was a 12-year-old girl, said Ministry official Lily Sulistyowati . Both died last week and lived in separate suburbs of the capital, Jakarta, she said. The source of the infections was being investigated, she added. Indonesia has regularly recorded deaths from bird flu since the virus began ravaging poultry stocks across Asia in 2003. Bird flu remains hard for people to catch, but experts worry the virus could mutate into a form that passes easily among humans. — AP
