Special Counter

The Chokkikulam branch of Indian Overseas Bank has opened special counters for collecting vehicle tax. The counters would function during the working hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. between March 31 and April 10.

A bank press release issued here said that taxes for two and four wheelers such as motorcycles, scooters, cars and jeeps could be paid at the counter. Tax would be collected only for non-transport vehicles. The original Registration Certificate, insurance certificate, vehicle emission certificate must be produced. For two-wheel vehicles over 15 years old, Rs. 500 would be collected as pollution tax and Rs.1,000 for other vehicles. — Staff Reporter
