Bangalore: Chitranjan Singh’s brace set up Army XI’s maiden title triumph in the Travancore Cup hockey tournament that concluded at the KSHA Stadium here on Saturday. In the final, Army XI defeated Canara Bank 3-1. Army XI took the lead in the 13th minute with Chitranjan capitalising on a pass from S.V. Sunil. Leading 1-0 at the break, Army XI continued to dominate in the second half as Chitranjan sounded the boards in the 45th minute after latching onto a penalty corner rebound.
