SSC paper leak: principal surrenders
Staff Reporter
NALGONDA: Principal of the Krishnaveni Talent School Reddymasu Shobhan Kumar, who was allegedly involved in the leakage of the Class X English-I question paper, surrendered before the Miryalaguda police on Friday night.
Miryalaguda Inspector M. Venkateswarlu said on Saturday that he had been arrested and produced before the court.
“He gave in last night and we sent teams to Hyderabad to nab the others who are involved in the case,” the official said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kumar blamed the “managements of other corporate schools” for the present fiasco. “I didn’t leak the question paper. We gave important questions to our students,” he told reporters.
Mr. Kumar, who reportedly submitted a written confession on Thursday, went back to his stand.
“I gave the confession under duress.
As the flying squad and other officials threatened me of debarring a girl student besides cancelling the recognition of the school, I gave the statement,” he said.
