BANGALORE: Army XI defeated Rail Wheel Factory 3-1 and entered the knock semifinal of the Travancore Cup hockey tournament at the KSHA stadium here on Thursday. Elizar Lakra (21st minute) and S.V Sunil (27th and 51st) scored for Army XI and Sampath (18th) reduced the margin for RWF. Pioneer Corps Training Centre also made the last four with a 2-1 win over Sports Authority of India ‘A’. Nitin Thimmaiah (31st) scored first for SAI ‘A’ but Kujur (42nd) scored off a penalty corner to level the scores. Mundu (56th) netted the match winner.
