Rupee closes higher

MUMBAI: Disregarding the weakness in stock markets, the rupee ended higher at 40.0950/1050 against the dollar on Thursday against the close of 40.1500 on Wednesday,

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the domestic unit opened lower at 40.17/18 a dollar and moved down further to a low of 40.20 before closed at 40.0950/1050. — PTI
