Maoists loot explosives, abduct officials

Raipur: Ahead of the Chhattisgarh bandh, Maoists on Thursday looted a truck load of explosives and abducted some officials from the mines of the Steel Authority of India Limited in Durg district.

The Maoists entered the Mahamaya iron ore mines of SAIL unit of the Bhilai Steel Plant, located about 160 km from here, looted explosives and abducted some officials, District Superintendent of Police Dipanshu Kabra said.— PTI
