PVC wants Dwarakanath retained
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Members of the Praja Vimochana Chaluvali (PVC) staged a protest in front of Town Hall here on Wednesday urging Governor Rameshwar Thakur to continue the services of the Chairman of the State Backward Classes Commission C.S. Dwarakanath.
Addressing the protestors, PVC president Patapat Nagaraj said Mr. Dwarakanath had been working for the welfare of the backward classes, especially “Hakki-pikki” community. He had been touring the State with an aim to identify the neglected communities and provide them social justice through various programmes. “It is condemnable to ask Mr. Dwarakanath to demit the office although his tenure ends only after three years,” Mr. Nagaraj said.
