Task force for NREGP

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government will depute a high-level task force with Rural Affairs Editor of The Hindu P. Sainath, Aruna Roy (both Magsaysay Award winners), and developmental economist Jean Dreze as members to evaluate the implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP) in the State and submit comprehensive recommendations.

This was decided at a meeting of the State council for the scheme chaired by Minister for Local Self-Government Paloli Mohammed Kutty here on Wednesday.
