Prakash loses

NEW DELHI: Lucky loser Prakash Amritraj went down fighting 7-6(5), 1-6, 1-6 to the eighth-seeded Simon Stadler of Germany in the first round of the $50,000 ATP Challenger tennis tournament at Leon, Mexico.

As he had failed to win the final round of the qualifying event and also the first round of the main draw, Prakash could not win a single ATP point for his efforts and had to be content with $520.
