EIL enters Super League

Mumbai: Engineers India Limited (EIL) got the better of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) by 26 runs to enter the Super League of the BPCL sponsored 28th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board inter-unit cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

Oil India Limited recorded its fourth straight win, beating Mangalore Refineries & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) by eight wickets. The Super League consists of six teams — Indian Oil Corporation, ONGC, HPCL, BPCL, OIL and EIL.

The scores:

MRPL 110 in 24 overs lost to OIL 112 for two in 19 overs (R. Das 58); EIL 183 for seven in 35 overs (Virendra Sharma 66 n.o) bt GAIL 157 in 29 overs (R.P. Singh 41 n.o). — Special Correspondent
