WORD BANK: Octogenarian Professor Sunil Chattopadhyaya flips through a 200-year-old dictionary on 13 Indian languages written by William Carey, at Srerampore College in Hooghly district of West Bengal on Tuesday. Most of the English missionary’s works, including many of his translations of Sanskrit literature, were destroyed in a fire in a printing press in 1812. A part of the unfinished dictionary is on display at the William Carey Library of Srerampore College.
