BEML declares interim dividend
Bangalore: BEML, a public sector company under the Ministry of Defence, has declared an interim dividend of 55 per cent for 2007-08. This is the highest-ever dividend declared by the company, which specialises in the manufacture of heavy earthmoving equipment for the mining and construction industries, heavy trucks for the armed forces and equipment for the Railways and urban metropolitan transport industries.
BEML chairman and managing director V.R.S. Natarajan presented a cheque for Rs. 12.38 crore to Defence Minister A.K. Antony on March 24. BEML’s order book is expected to cross Rs. 4,000 crore by the end of the financial year, according to a company release.
