TDP’s promise to MPTC members

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has promised that if the party was voted to power it would devolve powers to local bodies and increase remuneration to members of Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC).He was addressing agitating MPTC members near Indira Park on Monday. They were demanding devolution of powers to local bodies as envisaged in the 73rd and 74th amendments to the Constitution and also a hike in emoluments.
