Kashmir lawyers go on strike

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Bar Association (KBA) on Tuesday called for shifting all Kashmiri detenus to the Valley following an attack on its members in Jammu on Monday.
The work in courts remained disrupted for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in the wake of a strike by the lawyers.
The KBA condemned the assault on its president Nazir Ahmad Ronga and others outside the Kotbhalwal jail near Jammu on Monday.
Armed with a court order they had gone to meet the detenus but according to them they were gheraoed by an unruly mob for two hours. The lawyers were assaulted and not allowed to meet the detenus.
