Indian firms urged to do more for TPM

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Indian firms have to take a step forward, if they want to reach world-class level in Total Productive Maintenance, according to Kinjirou Nakano, advisor, TPM Club India, and executive vice-president, JIPM-Solutions (JIPM-S) of Japan.

Delivering the keynote address at the 10th Anniversary Programme of the TPM Club India and the 8th TPM National Conference, organised here on Monday by the Confederation of Indian Industry, he said now more Indian firms were in TPM level I and II. But they had to move to level III, which was about showcasing uniqueness and imaginary activities. However, Indian firms were finding it difficult to bring out their uniqueness as they did not have very good communication.
