New HC judge to be sworn in on March 26

CUTTACK: Justice S R Singaravelu would be sworn-in as the new judge of Orissa High Court here on March 26. According to High Court sources, all arrangements are now being made for the swearing-in ceremony of the new judge inside the court premises after getting the Presidential communiqué over the appointment of Justice Singaravelu.

Justice Singaravelu was a judge of Madras High Court before his present assignment.

With him in the bench, the strength of judges in Orissa High Court would increase to 19.

He will be the third judge from outside the State among the present incumbents of judges, including Chief Justice A.K. Ganguly and senior judge I.M. Quddusi.
