Science Day observed

CHENNAI: Presidency College recently conducted a series of science lectures and competitions in elocution, essay writing and project presentation for students.

A. Sivathanu Pillai, chief controller, Defence Research and Development Organisation, inaugurated the programmes, held to mark Science Day.

He also unveiled the portrait of S. R. Srinivasa Varadhan, winner of the Abel Prize in 2007 and a Presidency College ‘class of 1959’ student.
