CHILL OUT: The newly-opened spa at Hotel Ista in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Rejuvenation for the body couldn’t get better than this. If you have been thinking about indulging in some wellness rituals that are spiritually calming, then the spa at Hotel Ista is the right place for you.

The world class spa at Gachibowli was opened on Friday amidst guests such as Nagarjuna, Amala and Charmee.

A traditional ‘teeka’ and ‘aarti’ await guests at the spa where ones olfactory sense is treated to a mixture of orange, eucalyptus and peppermint. Treatments in Ayurveda, Western, Oriental and international are given to guests in six treatment rooms which are finished in earthly colours for that soothing effect.

“One of the major ingredients of treatment in spa’s is water. The word Spa is taken from the famous mineral springs in Belgium, which was used for healing. That is why all the treatments here are water based, be it touching water or hearing water fall, there is a calming effect,” informs Spa Director, Colin Hall.

Yoga, meditation

The spa also boasts of a place for yoga, meditation, hydrotherapy and relaxation areas, an experience that will take the tension, stress and fatigue away. Packages range from two days to 14 days that include wellness, beauty treatments like facials with specially designed crystals and rocks.

“Treatments at the spa will help guests to improve their ability to deal with everyday stress and fast paced lifestyles. The oils and creams that are used during treatments are specially formulated to rejuvenate guests and harmonise energies,” says General Manager, Ista, Jaideep Anand.
