Special train to Tiruchi

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will run a special train from Tiruchi to Chennai Egmore to clear the rush.

Train (0630) will leave Tiruchirappalli at 9.30 pm on March 16 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 4.30 am the next day. The composition will be, one first class, 10 sleeper class, 5 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. It will stop at Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Tindivanam, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.

Reservation will commence on March 15, according to a Railways release. Owing to demands from rail users, passenger associations and elected representatives, temporary stoppage provided for train Nos. 3352/3351 Alleppey–Dhanbad/Tata Express at Samalpatti will be extended up to June 30. — Special Correspondent
