‘Go green’ initiative

CHENNAI: Standard Chartered Bank and Scope International partnered the Isha Foundation in ‘Project Green Hands’, an initiative aimed at creating environmental awareness.
Over 20,000 saplings were distributed. Volunteers of these organisations worked with students from schools in and around the city. A function was recently held to recognise their efforts.k
Neeraj Swaroop, regional CEO, India and South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank presented a trophy to students of Maria Nivas Matriculation Higher Secondary School for their campaigns. The trophy for planting the maximum number of saplings went to students of Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School. The five top schools and 42 other participating schools received certificates in recognition of their efforts.
