Murthy’s century goes in vain

Bangalore: Murthy’s 111 went in vain as BMTC CC suffered a four-wicket defeat against RBI RC in a KSCA Group II, second division league match here recently.

Murthy’s knock helped BMTC CC post 206 for three in 30 overs but RBI RC, riding on N. Ashwath’s unbeaten 92, surpassed the score with just two deliveries to spare.

The scores: BMTC CC 206 for three in 30 overs (Murthy 111) lost to RBI RC 207 for six in 29.4 overs (N. Ashwath 92 n.o., Ashwin Punja 50).
