NMAMIT in last four

MANGALORE: Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (Nitte) has entered the last-four stage in the ongoing Twenty20 cricket tournament for the Ace Surgical Cup here on Tuesday.

NMAMIT scored a 23-run win over Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Manipal) while National Institute of Technology-Karnataka ‘B’ (Srinivasnagar) scored an emphatic seven-wicket win over A.J. Shetty Institute of Medical Sciences (Mangalore).

The sores: A.J. Shetty Institute 102 for nine 20 overs (Pradhyumna 20, Rohith Thakkar three for 10, Nithin Chandra two for 21) lost to NIT-K ‘B’ 103 for three in 15.1 overs (Santhosh Shankar 47 n.o.).

NMAMIT 158 for seven in 20 overs (Ashwin 34, Archan Rao 33, Ashwin Rao 20, Harsha P. K. 25 n.o., Dheeraj two for 25) bt MCOPS 135 for eight in 20 overs (Ashfaq Pathan 59 n.o., Rishiraj 25, Manjunath three for 16).
