CHENNAI: Jolly Rovers completed a nine-wicket win in two days in its eighth-round TNCA first division league cricket match against Indian Bank. In other matches, S. Anirudha and S. Suresh Kumar scored centuries while K. Srinivasan, K.R. Sivaprakash, and P. Sakthi were among the wickets. Rovers, after conceding the first-innings lead at IIT-Chemplast, skittled Indian Bank out for 53 on Sunday. R. Ashwin bagged four wickets, while his spin partner R. Ramkumar took three. M. Vijay (57 n.o.) and Petson Mathews (39 n.o.) powered Rovers to 109 for one in 18.3 overs for eight points. P. Satish’s six for 39 in the Rovers first innings went in vain. Anirudha’s fast centuryAnirudha’s 112-ball 105 (6x4, 5x6) helped Aruna set Globe Trotters a target of 271 at Pachaiyappa’s. Trotters left-arm spinner Sivaprakash returned figures of seven for 61. P. Sakthi had earlier enabled Aruna gain the first-innings lead with a four-wicket haul to complement Pandiarajan’s four for 42.
