Steel makers hike prices

NEW DELHI: Barely days after rolling back their prices at the behest of Steel Ministry, some steel producers led by Tata Steel on Wednesday hiked spot prices between Rs. 1500 and Rs. 3.000 for various products. “We have hiked the price of our long products by Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2000 and Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 3,000 for flat products owing to rise in input costs,” Tata Steel sources told PTI. Public sector SAIL also raised the prices by Rs. 1,500-2,500 across-the-board.
