MANGALORE: Kasturba Medical College ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams (Mangalore) had a good day in the Twenty20 cricket tournament for the Ace Surgical Cup played at Nehru Maidan on Wednesday. While KMC ‘B’ defeated A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences (Mangalore) by 89 runs, its ‘A’ side ran roughshod over Srinivas College (Mangalore) by seven-wickets. The scores: KMC ‘B’ 216 for nine in 20 overs (Naveen Patil 58, Anuj Chaudhary 45, Rakshith Prasad 31, Rahul two for 43, Thimmaiah two for 46) bt ABSMIDS 127 for seven in 20 overs (Rahul Bhandary 34, Anirudh Shetty two for 14, Anuj Chaudhary two for 15, Naveen Patil two for 18). Srinivas 101 in 15.4 overs (Anurag Yadav three for eight, Senthilnathan two for 26) lost to KMC ‘A’ 102 for 3 in 15 overs (Mithun 29 n.o.).
