NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the Commonwealth Bank tri-series at Brisbane on Tuesday and clinching the championship. “It is indeed a matter of great happiness that the Indian cricket team, under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has proved its great merit and given us another opportunity to celebrate,” said Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee. “Spectacular victory”“They have indeed done us proud. The nation’s highest body rejoices in their spectacular victory,” he said. “The House enthusiastically joins me in congratulating all members of the team for their accomplishments with a hope that they will win many more laurels for the country in the future,” he said.
