Congress condemns Gaza attacks

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Monday appealed to the international community and the United Nations to take note of the “worsening situation” in Gaza and take steps for cessation of armed action and restoration of peace.

Expressing concern at the use of “retaliatory force by the Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip” which resulted in the death of a large number of Palestinians, the party said “unwarranted use of excessive force targeting innocent civilians was unacceptable.”
